Rev. James D. Peterson
Rev. Peterson grew up in Heislerville, NJ and attended Millville Memorial High School, graduating with 3 honors in 1960.  He graduated Asbury College with a BA in Psychology, attended Asbury Theology Seminary and furthered his education with a Masters in Divinity from Eastern Baptist. He is married to Mildred Ann Kelley (Millie)- 51 years.  They have three children-Susan, Stephen, and James. Rev. Peterson retired in 2004.  He was reappointed as a part time preacher in 2008 to the First United Methodist Church of Port Norris and Buckshutem Church. His lifetime interests include: History/archeology of Indians, local indigenous people, and fishing. He describes himself as biblical preaching with a bit of humor! “I have through my lifetime, enjoyed being a servant of Jesus.”
